Treatment of T.B Patients (Dot Program)
Anjuman Behbood-e-Mareezan is the first welfare organization of Punjab which arranged five Free Medical Camps under T.B (Dot Program) at Jinnah Colony, Rehman Pura and Zafar Colony and after different tests of TB choosed fifty patients of TB during 2001-02. The treatment started under the superviwsion of Dr. Sikindar Hayat Warriach (Chest Specialist). It was very tedious job for NGOs to treat T.B Patients under T.B Dot without the assistance of Government. The ABM organized a committee for the treatment of T.B Patients.

During the year 2001-2002 our senior Executive Members HamidMansoorNagra, sajid Hassan Jaskani, Muhammad Tahir Mehboob and Madam Shamsha Abbasi arranged five free Medical Camps at Jinnah colony, Zafar Colony and Rehman Pura. They also arranged laboratory service to choose the patients of T.B. On this occasion Iqbal Tariq Deputy Director Social Welfare Sargodha and Ch. Zafar Ullah visited the Camp at Jinnah colony Sargodha and appreciated the services of Anjuman Behbood-e-Mareezan particularly arranging portable X-Ray Machine, temporary Test Laboratory for blood and sputum Test. Executive Members of ABM decided to treat these T.B patients on self help basis. The NGO started these fifty patients at Family welfare Health centre Jinnah colony Sargodha under the supervision of Dr. Sikander Hayat Wariach (Chest Specialist) and Madam Shamsa Abbasi (Rtd) LHV. Convener Anti T.B committee HamidMansoorNagra and team members Sajid Hassan and Rana Tahir Mehmood fully assured the NGO for their free cooperation for providing medicines for nine month course of T.B the treatment of T.B patients under T.B Dot programme Treatment started during month June 2001 and these patients recovered after nine to 15th month course of T.B. The members of ABM are highly thankful to Dr. Sikander Hayat warrich, Madam Shamsa Abbasi who voluntarily provided their services, HamidMansoorNagra and their Team members Sajid Hassan Jaskani, Rana Tahir Mehmood who regularly provided medicines for the treatment of T.B patients.
It is great honour for the members of ABM who started T.B. Dot Programme during 2001 without help from Govt. of Punjab. So Anjuman Behbood-e-Mareezan is first and only NGO of Punjab which started T.B. Programme during 2001.
During first week May 2002, the Anjuman arranged a Function at Rehman pura, Zafar Colony Sargodha. The Chief Guest was Amjad Ali Noon Distt Nazim Sargodha; other Guest of honour was Mirza Muhammad ilyas Tehsil Niab Nazim Sargodha.
On this occasion Shamshad Ali Mirza in his address to the participants highly appreciated the voluntary services rendered by HamidMansoorNagra Chairman Committee for the treatment of TB and committee members Madam Shamsa Abbasi, Rana Tahir Mehmood, Sajid Hasan Jaskani and special thanks to Dr. Sikander Hayat Warriach who provided his services voluntarily for the patients of T.B. These recovered patients started their normal life and now they are earning members of the society.
